  • New User Interface - Introduces a new way for developers to interact with their HMI/SCADA application. With a new look and feel for the CIMEdit development environment, based on Microsoft®-fluent User Interface (UI) technology, users will instantly realize time savings and reduced costs.
  • All new Graphics Engine - Introducing a new graphics-rendering engine for CIMPLICITY 8.0. THis includes a larger development canvas functionality for runtime and development, transparency abilities, improved gradient shading, anti-aliasing, native picture support, and a pipe object tool.
  • Dynamic Time Handling - CIMPLICITY 8.0 features a server and client side dynamic time handling capability which enables changing time zones “on the fly”.
  • Digital Graphical Replay 2.0 - CIMPLICITY 8.0 introduces Digital Graphical Replay (DGR) 2.0. DGR 2.0 is a powerful add on option that provides the ability to replay trend data as well all other data in your system -- enabling more intelligent decisionmaking and accelerated issue resolution.
  • Enhanced Security Protection - CIMPLICITY 8.0 only requires a Microsoft Windows® Vista®/Server 2008 standard user account to develop and run your SCADA application. Leave the User Account Protection (UAP) security active and reduce your systems risk.
  • Proficy Historian Integration (100 Tags Included). Forming a powerful combination with GE Intelligent Platforms’s Proficy Historian and now includes a Historian license.
  • CIMPLICITY 8.0 Now supports Microsoft® Vista SP1 and Windows® Server 2008 as well as existing support for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003
