The Introduction to CIMPLICITY HMI is a beginner's level course focusing on the multiple aspects of project configuration. Valuable hands-on lab exercises are provided to guide students through the building and modification of an HMI application.

Prerequisite:

• Familiarity with Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Course Outline:

• Introduction to the concepts of CIMPLICITY PE: Quick ramp-up on Start-Up, Installation, Project Definition.
• Configuring project: Operators application insight, Application Designers Quick Basics.
• Plan, create and assign data to graphic screens: Designer Diagnostic Design Theory, Operator Screen customizing.
• Create, maintain and execute events and actions through BCE: High Level Language Control & Reporting Literacy.
• Log data for points, events and alarms: Management Process Views & Control, Report Generation expertise.
• Display and view trend charts with historical and runtime data" Analysis of processes, hands-on experience taking corrective action.
• Configure the Alarm Viewer Manager to view and control alarms: Proven System designs and debug prior to installation Startup.
• Use HMI System Administration Tools to troubleshoot & maintain the project: System design throughput and fine-tuning concepts.
• Configuring server and viewer communications over the network: System design throughput and networking tools concepts
