Proficy Machine Edition Maintenance
The Proficy Machine Edition maintenance course is an introduction to the Proficy Machine Edition programming environment with a focus on maintaining existing machines. Working with the environment and hardware as well as quickly maneuvering through the software are focal points of this course.

Who Should Attend
The course will be beneficial to:
- Personnel responsible for the maintenance, and modification of Ladder Diagram control programs for the PACSystem, Series 90-30 and Versamax PLC's;
- maintenance personnel.
Prerequisites
- Working knowledge of PLC based machines or a process control is required.
- Familiarity with Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
- A basic understanding of ladder logic or a control programming language is a plus.
Course Outline:
- Identify the hardware components of a GE Intelligent Platforms PLC
- Describe the program sweep
- Create a new LD-PLC folder & hardware configuration
- Replacing and Troubleshooting Hardware
- Top-down programming with subroutines
- Program execution control with permissive's
- Create basic ladder diagram programs
- Use name-centric ladder diagram programming
- Use the functionality of LD-PLC, including but not limited to:
- Variable View Table
- Information Window, listing of program overrides ("forces"), on-line program cross-reference
- Drag & Drop and Cut & Paste program editing and development
- Searching through program logic
- Monitoring using the data watch window
- Debug control logic and diagnose faults using LD-PLC
